Welcome to my blog! In this blog, I hope to chronicle my daily mishaps and successes at becoming a healthy person. To start, here’s a bit about me: I am 21 years old, and I am a senior in college in the United States. I love to cook, dance, and write.
I have two semesters until graduation, and I want to use the next year to become the best me possible. With the help of my nutritionist's knowledge, and way too much at-home exercise equipment – wish me luck!
Just a quick note: I plan to keep each blog under 350 words. I have had blogs before, and when they’re too long – even I don’t want to read them!
Here’s my plan: Start working out four times a week. While I’d love to be gung-ho about this, pretending I will work out daily is simply wishful. I have many options to choose from, so I don’t think I will get bored: Wii Fit, Wii Active, Jillian Michaels, Billy Blanks, and Bob Harper DVDs, a medicine ball, a yoga mat, a yoga ball, a kettlebell, free weights, a mini trampoline, Insanity (like P90X) and my Nike Plus sneakers.
As for food: My first goal is to de-junkify my cupboards! I hate to throw any food away, so I’ll try to donate what I can. Otherwise, I need to burn/cut out 7,000 calories a week = 2lbs. So I’m planning my meals according to Jillian’s “Winning by Losing” book, my food scale, and a calorie counter book.
My weight: In total, I want to lose 145 lbs. I plan to do this over the next two years though, so I can do it healthy and keep it off! A healthy weight for me starts in 115lbs.
I plan to blog each day, so stay tuned for updates! I might blog more than once in a day, if I learn something new or have a great success and want to brag – er – blog about it.
