I think my nutritionist forgot to mention the part about pizza being so good and tempting that, after sitting hungry for awhile - it would be incredibly easy to give in. Oops.
Yesterday was my first day with this blog, and I think the day evened out in terms of good and bad.
Good - I worked out with my Jillian Michaels's Fitness Ultimatum 2010 (for the Wii). After one hour of sweating with her, I felt good. Today, my calves and thighs hurt - that is definitely progress! (P.S. From now on, for the sake of my precious word count, I will refer to Jillian's workouts as just Jill or Jillian.)
Bad - I indulged in way too many calories when it came to my pizza recluse for the night. It was just me, the Domino's box, and my Netflix collection. Yikes!
It was kind of weird though. After I started eating, I swear I could hear Jill's voice in my head, straight from Biggest Loser - "Amanda, do you really want to eat that?" Me - "Yes, this will be my last indulgence!" Jill - "I've heard that excuse before. What do you want more - the pizza tonight, or your health forever?"
A few bites later, I couldn't eat anymore. My conscience sounded too much like the health guru I want to become...
Today's agenda -
Food: Actually dejunkify my cupboards. I got so busy with reading cookbooks and finding some really good recipes... that my cupboards got pushed to the wayside.
Fitness: Do my Bob Harper DVD. He's so encouraging... maybe I will feel some redemption for last night's fiasco.
Mental: Garden? I have stuff to make a vegetable garden - that could be awesome for this summer!! It would definitely help my budget too...
Thanks for reading and feel free to leave some more comments! The support from yesterday's post was awesome!!

Two things!
ReplyDeleteNumber one: You should see if it is possible to connect your blog to your Facebook account, or you could manually post; if you don't want everyone to see it just make a group of only those you want to share the link with, you know? I think people would have an easier time keeping up that way.
Number two: If you want a gardening buddy, look me up. ^_^
Amanda, I'm so happy to see you are trying to lose weight. Kudos to you. I really like Jillian & Bob. I watch TBL every Tuesday night. I pray for your success. Don't wait until you're as old as me. It's sooooooo much harder to lose. I'm behind you 100%. I'm proud of you. Love, Aunt Sharon
ReplyDeleteEvery day is a new start, Amanda! You're doing a wonderful job, and I believe in you! <3
